Feeling Festive

Getting all ready for the holidays? well hopefully that was a yes, because I have a little treat here for anyone that enjoys baking during the holidays.

I am not an expert, and in fact I am going by a recipe I found online, but I still have no idea as to whether or not this is going to work, but here is goes...I making Peppermint Bark!

The link to the site where I got this recipe is http://kathyniemer.tripod.com/kathysillustratedrecipes/id8.html

I did attempt making peppermint bark last year, but I forgot to use dark chocolate on the bottom, oops :).

This is the melted chocolate chips on a paper plate- probably a bad move- I needed non-stick paper. After putting the chocolate on a plate, and smoothing it out, I put it in the fridge for 15 mins so it could cool and harden.

Then I melted the white chocolate chips in the microwave. For both of these I put them for about 2-3 mins, but I kept a close watch on them, and stired often. Before the chocolate hardened I sprinkle broken candy cane all over it.

I put like 5 candy canes in a ziploc baggy and took a hammer to it...but don't go all out or you'll be left with candy cane dust!

Anyways I wanted to share this fun and easy way to make your own peppermint bark, and its really tasty too! Enjoy Gals

Is It just me or....

So I have now used Mufe HD foundation about a day and a half, and guess what...I'm extremely worried right now. I thought it was so perfect and thus I dismissed the "what should have been" the blatently obvious signs at the end of last night. ` Sad to say this, but I noticed every flaw by the end of the night, it was like the foundation magnified lines, blemishes because it really dried out my skin.

I'm pretty bummed right now, and I need some advice from Mufe HD users, please tell me what I'm doing wrong. If not I think I'll be returning this foundation.

First off I'll admit that I have not been using a primer, well my HD sample primers are just about out- so I pretty don't get much out of the bottle. I was hoping that this is the problem, also I realize I need to drink more water, but with the Satinfinish Foundation I never noticed anything like this.

I am ready to try any skin care regimine that caters to dull skin with acne tendencies, I am seriously not happy with the performance of this foundation at this point.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

A Mini Haul

Along with Mufe HD I also picked up some other stuff, and it was kinda unplanned, one of those walking-to-the-register, impulse buys. I wanted to find a nude lip liner, and not wanting to break the bank...completely, I kept with the Sephora Brand, and 114 and 135 are the colors I picked. So here's the swatches of the liners, on top it is 114, and on the bottom 135.

I am happy with the lip liners, for how much I paid. No they are not the best, but they were only five dollars. I like the 114 color and the 135 seems to look best with Creme d' Nude out of all my lipsticks, so I like that.

The other thing is Smith's Rosebud Salve, I already had Smith's Minty Rose Lips, and this was right before the register, and since I was still in that Mufe HD haze, and such an easy sell, the products in the line got me..and I was just about up to the register too! Well either way it is a nice lip balm, but I admit I have yet to wear that solo when I go out, but it is definitely apart of the nighttime routine.

Also I picked up Cover Girl Lash Blast at Longs the other day, and I am pretty happy with it. In fact I am regretting my high-end waste of money when I purchased Dior Iconic. Though Iconic is a nice formula (but difficult to get off unless you have a good makeup remover), and the wand is really cool (in my opinion), it actually is very similar to the Lash Blast wand...so now I'm feeling pretty dumb. Oh well I have to say that the Iconic mascara definitely feels high-end, the package at least. And it was nice for a change ( I have always used Loreal and Maybelline mascaras til now).

I was super tempted to let my inhibitions go and scoop up a couple Revlon Colorstay foundations, but I didn't!! Well the reasons I was so tempted is because I have read about these from Lollipop26, and seeing that she compared Mufe HD to these, and I just bought HD, I was very intrigued..

Now the other reason that I was soooo tempted to throw caution to the wind and use the last coins in the piggy bank (so to speak), is because it was on sale...buy one get one free...Now I know I may sound crazy, cause If I'm trying to save so much money, why wouldn't I just pour out the dough for one, and then have a supply of foundation that would possibly last me an entire year!?

Well I decided I know how easily I get bored, and guaranteed at least one of those foundations would have gone to waste, and I hate buying things I know I'm not going to use.

So that is that, and Yay For me, I said NO! No I am not giving the cosmetic industry ALL my mooonay!! LOL I'll just be giving it to MAC instead of Revlon I suppose... I know I'm just a crazy girl.

HD- Your so not even Surprised...

Okay I finally did it, I got Mufe HD. I was set on getting this foundation since about August, but it has just now hit the top of my priorities list, of coarse only once I got some important things worked out. So anyways I just used it today, and my first impression was, of coarse, "DAMN...this is GOOD". Yes, yes I know your all tired of hearing about Mufe HD foundation, but I just thought I would add to the other reviews in expressing appreciation for this product.

This foundation is the second liquid foundation that I have ever owned thus far, so yes, I am far from an expert on the subject. My first foundation was MAC's Satinfinish Foundation, which has worked well for me, and served to be exactly what I needed to get accustomed to using a liquid foundation. Satinfinish was not for Matte skin, but more of a dewy look (which I do like). Mufe HD is good for a matte look, which is the first reason I was set on trying it.

Also I knew that this foundation has been said to have great coverage while using little product. I used two small pumps to do my entire face, which would normally take 2-3 large pumps of Satinfinish, while at the same time leaving blemishes exposed.

This is not the case with Mufe HD. HD covered most of my blemishes and scars, and though I still reached for my studio fix concealer, I didn't need a whole lot of it.

Any how I was thinking as to why I am so enthused with this product, while other women are not. And it's really quite simple, this is best quality foundation I have tried thus far, and therefore I am totally in love with it.

All in all I am really happy with this product, so much that as of yet, I "plan" to continue using this foundation, unless of coarse there is another fad-foundation:). I would recommend this foundation for any one that has never tried a higher-end foundation, and is somehow unhappy with their current product. And especially for any one that has alot of blemishes or scars, we need the best formulas we can get.

This is the box- I picked shade 118, and I'm still debating as to whether or not this is my perfect tone...but so far so good.

So I am really happy, personally, to have picked up this foundation, as it may just be the answer my poor face needed all along(well that and some freaking acne products!!!)

Also, if you hadn't figured it out, I am currently (crossing my fingers) ending a breakout of acne, all around my cheeks. I am still on the hunt for a life-saver type of acne system or product that could be the answer to all this madness. So share any thoughts or testimonies if you have experienced acne, as I always love to hear from you.

And as always stay fabulous!

Girls Meets Myth...

Ladies and Gents, it is my pleasure to introduce a very near and dear, new friend of mine, Myth. It is this girl's best friend, and I've got a couple reasons why you should think so too.

Ok so maybe the intro was a bit over done, but if this lipstick is a stranger to your makeup collection, then I would suggest you get to a MAC counter and get it, now!

Yes girls it really is my best companion in my collection at the moment.
So you ask, what is so great about Myth..? Well here are a few reasons to love it-

1. Yes it is a thicker and more drying texture(when compared to Creme d' Nude), but this is actually nice for a change. I feel like my lips look much more natural, like the added gloss in "d'nude", and its pinky-ish undertones make my lips look rather made up.

2. Also I loved how little product is needed in order to get desired look, full and natural coverage. Yes I would imagine if you were to lather this on, well you might have concealer lips, but really all it takes is one swipe, then smack them lips together and you got a sexy, "I didn't put on makeup"-look.

3. Lastly I found that "d'nude" tends to slide off of my lips, and while it is moisturizing, it has a difficult time staying in place, therefore requiring often re-application(well that may be my OCD).

This is Myth against my hand...eerily similar in color don't ya think?

None the less I am fully in love with this lipstick, and it cracks me up thinking that I was scared of concealer lips, because with moderation Myth can be absolutely beautiful.
And I felt that it was time for you all to see my face, in more than just the profile pic, and sorry for the lame-esque feel of it, shall we say...cam whore time?

You might not be able to see but I am sporting my new beanie, and of coarse I needed to listen to my Ipod; it was the inspiration behind the smile :)

And I would proudly like to reveal that I have stopped my self tanning routine, it has been a whole week now...and I am actually quite satisfied, though I refuse to give up my bronzer!

I would love to hear what anyone thinks of Myth, and what Lipglasses would pair well with it...'til next time stay fab!

Nude lip Combo

I may have found some good bright lip combinations, but I never fail to fall back on my nude lips routine. And the best combo I have found yet has to be Creme d' Nude(MAC) and Shy(Very Sexy, Victoria's Secret). A bit of concealer first to lighten my lips, then Shy, and top it off with Creme d' Nude, makes me a very happy girl.

That's all for now, but check out how much Creme d' Nude is left...this is fully extended...lol

Bye Beauties!

NYX Round Lippies Arrived!!

Sorry for the break, but I have a NYX round lipstick haul for ya'll! So unfortunately I was pretty disappointed when I saw that some of the colors I ordered were not very neutral, as I had expected them to be. So here they are from left to right:

Rea, Baby Pink, Aphrodite, B52, Femme, Rose, Chloe, Peach

So I was played, oh how was I fooled into getting these colors. The ones towards the left, which are more neutral, are alot brighter than they looked on the website, unfortunately I assumed that the website swatches were accurate. Well they aren't. So I figure that this was a great chance to try out colors that I would not spend the money on otherwise(like at MAC), but thankfully these were only 2 dollars each.

My new favorite colors are actually quite surprising though, Femme and Rose, which are extremely close in color, so much that it is hard to see any difference at all.

The difference though is that Femme has a more orange base color, while Rose is more bright pink. When I wear these together I get a very bright and fun look, I'm so loving it at the moment. And as a close second, I like Baby Pink(light lavender) and Aphrodite(deep berry) just because I would have never bought these colors, and I most definitely do not have any dupes for these in my collection.

The color that I will probably never use has to be Rea. This is the very first color on the left, and it is a very chalky taupe color. When I put this on my lips it was awful, not a good match for my skin, and for a nude color, I have to say I'm not impressed.

I'm still deciding what I think of Chloe(bright fuchsia), but I respect this color as something i could use for only specific occasions, like a party or anything that calls for some craziness!

And as for peach, well that color is kind of useless to me, it's a bit too mundane while brighter than what I would use everyday. So while I like it in the tube, I don't see myself putting this one on anytime soon.

Now since this was the second time I ventured outside MAC for lipsticks, I have to say, MAC is always the better choice when it comes to quality. No duh..huh? I understood that the quality would be cheaper, so I'm completely fine, in fact I like having cheaper lipsticks to mess around with, but when it comes to application, formula, color and stay-ability(sorry for lack of other words), MAC is still my number one.

As for the haul, I enjoyed this because it was like Christmas, I had no idea what I was gonna get, and indeed I was surprised. If your interested in trying NYX I would suggest you look at Lollipop26's blog for a better and more wearable selection of round lipsticks.

Have a great weekend Beauties!

Remington Shine Therapy Straightener...

I am debating whether or not to get this product, I watched Lollipop26's review on it and it has been bugging me ever since. I am so tempted to buy this product even though I already have a perfectly good T3 Tourmaline Straightener at home....am I nuts or should I give Remington a try?

What styles your Tresses?

Ok girls we all know that you didn't just roll outta bed with that hair, so what styles ur tresses? I have three go-to products that I use often to style my hair, course this excludes and serums and pre-styling products. My first hair styling fave is

Short Sexy Hair Dry Wax- It is in a spray form, which I like as of the moment, while sometimes I do revert back to the jar o' wax (but I always hated how sticky it was).

Next I am absolutely smittened with the Catwalk Root Pump Spray...lovves it!! When applied on wet hair, and then blown out, this gives a natural boost to my hair.

And for those nights(usually)when I am going out for a good time, I make a b-line to my Backcomb in a Bottle(What a Tease), by Big Sexy Hair. I will spray it from the roots and out about an inch, then without letting hair down, I will take my blow dryer to it for about 10 seconds. This will leave my hair standing straight up for a second, and once product is completely dry I take a brush and comb my hair out and over the top of where I sprayed.
Its not as confusing as I just made it sound, sorry :(

These are the styling products of my choice for now, what are yours?

I need Your Help Girls

Sorry I've been away this last week, but I have been really busy with work and school. Any how I am looking into hair extensions, and wanted to ask if any of you have experience with Cosmo Prof (human hair) extensions. I will try to get some soon, so I if you got any advice...LETS HEAR IT!

So Im pretty excited for that. The reason I want to get hair extensions is because I will be going on a vacation in December, and we ALWAYS take lots o' pics, so personally I would love to have long hair in those photos(b/c these photos will come back to haunt me).

Also I am looking into starting a new skin care regimine, something to keep the blemishes away!!

Items I am considering-
1 Philosophy's Kit for Congested Skin
2 PerriconeMD Acne Spot Treatment (I think that is the name)
* And since I have not experince with the first product I would also be interested in anyone with experience with this product

And the reason I don't have any photos on my last few posts is b/c my camera is not cooperating, so I will try to work with it....

See ya'll fab ladies later!

Top 6 Lip Fave's

Was not tagged, but here it is anyways, my top 6 lip favourites. Now that I have started to experiement with my lip purchases, and branched from lipgloss to lipstick, this might be a bit difficult to stick with only six.

1. Creme d' Nude is for sure one lip fave

2. I will have to go with Sugarrimmed Dazzleglass because of the amazing taste, texture and of course the sparkles.

3. Also I enjoy Quiet, Please and its identical twin, the Heidi klum (le) lipstick(below) in Malibu(this one has the sparkles on the outside that's the only difference). These are lusters and when paired with a lipglass or dazzleglass, they look amazing.

4. Next is Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Moisturizing lipstick in Shy. This is always in my purse as well because it is a natural nude color for my lips, and very moisturizing (like I wrote in an earlier post, it reminds me of Cremesheens).

5. My newest addition- Hot Gossip (cremesheen), so so pretty ;)

6. Sugar Lip treatment by Fresh Cosmetics; this product is so popular, and for good reason. It is the best lip balm I've tried, and though its a bit on the expensive side, 22 dollars, it has lasted me a long time.

Have a beautiful day, and stay fab!

Cremesheens Perm!

Okay ladies, we so have to give it up for MAC...Just when I thought I was going to run out of my Creme d' Nude without a backup, MAC had to go and make Cremesheen apart of the permanent line. I don't know about the rest of you, but this is like better than Christmas morning, and the only thing left to do is go back to the counter to check out the other cremesheen lippies.

Right after I bought Creme d' Nude I absolutely fell in love with this lipstick, the colour, the texture, and mostly it wasn't drying out my lips like some others would. So I considered going back to pick up at least one more of Creme d' Nude, and ya know what, I couldn't. Other things in my life took priority (yay for me, at least I have been known to show restraint), and I just figured I would keep an eye out for another just like it. And from swatching other MAC nude lipsticks recently, I don't believe they have another one quite like it.

So what am I trying to spit out? I'm so freaking excited right now, MAC just made me the happiest girl this side of the Mississippi. Since I Aced a Poli sci test this week, I felt it was my perogative to go get a lipstick, and do it guilt free. So I have started looking at the other colours; and I started with Hot Gossip. This one is so pretty, as described on MACcosmetics.com, it is a "Mid-tone pinky plum". This colour actually was a tiny bit brighter than my natural lip pigmentation.

Hot Gossip, isn't it gawrgous!

Here is what's left of my Creme d' Nude

Right now I am debating between Speak Louder(clean poppy blue pink), Fanfare(mid-tone yellow pink), Speed Dial(light blue pink), and Crosswires(clean pinky orange).
So if anyone has these I would love to hear what you think of the colors.

Ten Minutes 2 'a-la-Naturale'?

If your anything like me, you always wake up at least half hour late, and your makeup routine suffers. In the past my beauty routine has at times, taken anywhere from 45 min's to an hour! I know please don't tell me, its quite obsessive. But I have streamlined my morning routine, and guess what, its far more natural looking too.

To start I rub my face tanner/moisturizer all over(after I wash my face), then I spray FIX+ all over. Once my face is dry, I use a face primer, right now that is the sample version of Make Up Forever HD Primer. After that has soaked in, I will then use my 190 foundation brush(this one is from the Holiday Brush Set) and my MAC Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation. This foundation gives medium coverage and allows a slightly dewy look, so I definitely like it (and often I will use some sort powder to set my foundation), and when I need to cover a pesky blemish I use my Studio Finish Concealer(but it is one shade lighter than my skin tone-always remember that) and dab that on with my fingers.

Next I need a bit of colour on my cheeks so a nice neutral look with a bit of peachy colour, and for that I love NARS Madly blush; or I will go for a bronzer.

The Blush Brush pictured here is the 169 Brush, Good Investment for Blush fanatics

So there was a while there when I wouldn't even leave my house without some sort of eye shadow on my lids...well no more. My new favourite makeup products that I try to focus on are my blush and lipstick/lip gloss. As you might guess, that already has helped my time issue tremedously. My number one eye products, that I have used everyday for the last month(yes, really), are 1. Bare Study Paint(Mac), 2.Dior Iconic Mascara(If you would like to know more I'll put up my review; but it is amazing), 3.Shu Uemura Lash Curler, 3. Maybelline Liquid(waterproof) liner in black, and 4. Graphblack Technakohl Liner(Mac).

All I do is put a dab of the Bare Study paint(MAC) all over each lid, then line the top of my lids with liquid liner in black(any brand will work), line the waterline with black(the technakohl liner), curl lashes with the Shu Uemura Curler(the best curler ever), and finish with two coats of Dior Iconic(or the mascara of your choice, preferable one that holds the curl).

And the last thing to do, but definitely not least is to apply a lip product. I am loving a dewy, nude lip with Sugarrimmed Dazzleglass, and this kind of pulls my look together, and brightens my face. I have been using the Heidi Klum Lipstick(limited edition), with sugarrimmed on top.

This is all I use

So all you need is ten minutes to achieve a beautiful, natural, and glowy look!
And thanks for reading, Stay Beautifully Fabulous!

Philosophy Face Peel

The Philosophy Microdelivery Mini Peel Pads

This is something near and dear to my heart. I have only been using this product for 3 weeks and my skins as soft as a baby's butt!

I had horribly icky skin before I finished a two week liver cleanse(very low maintainance, and so effective), and started using these 'peel pads' once a day. I will rub it all over my face for a minute or so, after I have already cleaned my face and taken off all my makeup. This product leaves my skin smooth and glowy. I simply love this face product from Philosophy, and now I'm tempted to try some of their other face products.

I have acne prone skin, and for a while I had a very dull and overall terrible quality of skin, and after a cleanse and this, I am starting to love the skin I'm in.

So I am wondering if any of you have suggestions for me as to Philosophy's facial products that are really good, I would love to hear what you think.

Blah, Blah, Blah....Stay Fabulous!

Hair Flowers

This is sadly going to be such a short post, but I wanted to show the hair flowers I bought from Claire's a couple weeks ago. I like to wear these to work and usually when I'm sportin' an updo. So here are the three I bought, aren't they cuteeee! Ya so they are such a great deal, I bought them when it was buy one get one 1/2 off, but normally they are 5.50 I believe.

I seriously am so in love with accessories...ugh. And I just got the cutest beret (I think thats what its called, not quite a beanie) at Forever 21....oooo gosh I can't help it:(. Ohh well this is my short post, hope it helped..

And until next time keep yourselves Beautifully Fabulous!

Nails, Nails, Nails

I am officially an OPI collector.

As most of you know, OPI is just about one of the best polish brands out there for the public, and I have started to really build on my modest OPI collection(to date I have 11). And I have been buying a new polish each week(at least), and so here is my favourite colors for this week, and last week(since I didn't get to posting the blog earlier). For this week I have decided to give into my most natural instinct, and head for a nudie-pinky color, to match my tan! And thanks to sephora's amazing face tanner, body tanner, and my sugar Tropic Tan bronzer, I can finally say that!

So the color I got for my light pink color is....from S'ephora by OPI-A True Romantic'. Oh it is so gorgeous on my skin tone, which is about a NC25-30 at the moment. But this is more of a milky pink as you can see in the photo, and very sheer.

The colors of choice for the last two weeks or so are OPI's- Black Onyx, and Charged up Cherry. The latter is a fun and bright color, but I didn't wear it that long, I don't know why that is...hmmm. But the Onyx was gorgeous and since I am loving the black nail polish trend, I will probably be switching to this one on and off for a while more.

Lets see...So I felt like Charged up Cherry is so fresh and a bit wild, so I would typically wear this on a day that I am dressing a bit ecclectic, and cutsie :) So there it is, my fav's of the past two weeks, and I will definitely be updating you all on my newest color craves and fav's.

And don't forget, so you'll always remember...Stay Fabulous!

Holiday Nails

What is it about the changing of the season that makes me so ready for the Holidays, is it the mall santas, the Starbucks Seasonal Blend, the cold air(and pulling out my winter coats and boots), or the thought that a month break from school is just around the corner(LOL I love being a student). Either way, the sound of Christmas music and the crisp winter air has officially gotten me ready for holidays, so of course I've got two things on my mind, one: I need to watch a good Christmas movie, and two: Need to wear red polish. So when I went out to buy my weekly nail polish, I was on a mission: to find the perfect Holiday-red polish. So on my way to school I stopped by my local beauty supply to check out the OPI laquers. The color I decided on is "Quarter of a Cent-Cherry", and it is such a deep and fabulous creme-red to wear during the winter season. I would describe this color as a bit deeper than traditional red, but not really burgandy, which is why I love it so much. But that is my little speil, I hope that everyone else is enjoying their week, and maybe I'm a little nuts, but are you going to be sporting red nails this winter?

Peely lips solution

So I had a bit of a dilemma, so many lipsticks, but my lips were really peely, especially when I wore lipglasses. So I was going to buy the Sugar Lips by Laura Gellar, which I still am going to buy(at some point), but since Sephora was out of it when i went, the lady showed me something a bit cheaper, and pretty nice, the Tarte FRXtion lip scrub. This product is so cute! But the real reason I so adore this product is that it is in fact real sugar(and no I haven't tried to eat it yet:). This makes for a really great scrub, and once I got past the first layer, it started to lather on my lips(not too much). And then on the other side of the lip stick, it is a Vitamin E, vanilla lip balm to sooth and heal your lips. Overall I feel that for 11 dollars(Laura Gellar Sugar Lips is 16 dollars), this product is very effective and does a good job; though I need to test out the other lip scrub to determine which is best(I would bet on the Sugar Lips scrub by L.G.). So for all you ladies worrying about peely lips, Please save yourself the drama and take my advice, exfloliate a couple times a week, somehow, and then use a soothing lip balm afterwards; it will save your lips from looking tragic all winter long!

And look at the cute little mirror that flips open when you take off the lid...awwwww

And as always...Stay Fabulous!

Falling in Love with Philosophy

Looking for a signature scent? Looking for something fresh and lightly sweet, without an overbearing stench that screams grandma's perfume, but not 'sexy'? Well I just found exactly the scent that I had been looking for, a feminine yet sexy scent, and it was right underneath my nose the entire time. Philosophy is one of my new crazy obsessions, well in a less dramatic sense(when compared to my NARS and MAC habit). Its called 'Falling in Love', and it is the best scent I have ever had, hands down. I realize everybody has a different definition of what smells good or not, but I just had to at least advise you all to at least go to sephora and spray test this scent, because by golly its amazing!

I can't believe It's Not MAC

Alrighty, so I hate to identify myself as a slave-to-MAC, but by the way I have been shopping lately, you might think I was. So for me it was exciting when I bought my first non-mac lipstick. And there it is(above), the Hedi Klum limited edition lipstick. The thing that really caught my eye about this lipstick is that it is completely covered with sparkles. The camera didn't do it any justice, but this is a nude, light lipstick with tons of little sparkles on the very outside. But don't think that it makes your lips look too sparkly, because once you get past the very first layer of the lipstick, its pretty much the exact replica of Quiet, Please(Red She Said, MAC Holiday Collection).
The part that made this so exciting was that it opened my eyes to the amazing potential of the Very Sexy(name of the V.S. makeup line)makeup at Victoria's Secret. And hence I also tried out one of the Sheer Moisture Lipsticks(in Shy). They have a few different types of lipsticks, Perfect Lipstick, and Very Sexy Sparkling Lipstick, but the Sheer Moisture really is moisturizing, and yes it lasts. I wore it to work tonight and it lasted almost my whole shift, and it didn't dry out my lips like some other lip products.
OKAY so heres the best part, during the entire month of November, anytime you make a purchase over 10 dollars you get a Secret Santa card(which will have either 10,50,100, or 500 dollars on it), and then you can redeem it between December 1-24.
So I don't know about ya'll, but I'm gonna be buying alot of makeup at Victoria's Secret

MAC Holiday Collections

First let me just say, WOW, I truly felt like a little kid on Christmas morning the moment I opened my MAC package. So the packaging is gorgeous, and when you open the box the product packaging is equally as gorgeous; ok something you should know now, I'm a sucker for great packaging. Well anyhow I loved everything about the way the adoring carmine face brush set was presented, but I do have a complaint. Now I understand that the brushes in the Holiday collection are mass produced, but I found that out after I got the products. So why does this matter? Well the original MAC brushes are hand made, which explains the great quality of the brushes(or so I think). And the only reason I noticed a difference is because the 187 sheds like crazy when I use it for my liquid foundation.

So that is my only qwam with the brush set. Now I am in love with the Fascinating Ruby-Smokey Eye Palette from the Passions of Red Collection. First off the palette is so beautiful. The colors in the palette, well I have to admit that I am slightly disappointed when it comes to the variety of finishes. I was thinking that it was going to be half matte and half sparkly, well only one of the shadows is completely matte, while the others are at least a bit sparkley, and one of the shadows appears to be full on glitter(well it isnt really, but you get the picture). So for me it was not all I had hoped for, but overall I am still so happy to have purchased the palette, if not purely from a collector's standpoint.

Just a heads up, I have got quite a few product reviews on the way in the next week so until next time, stay fabulous!

Confessions of a NARS addict

YES, I know, there have already been so many raving reviews on the NARS blushes, but I can't help myself! So last week when I was on my way home from school I decided to stop by sephora to check out some skincare products, well needless to say I got extremely distracted (with NARS), and what do ya know, I now have Madly blush. I had been wanting to get this blush from looking at it online, but in person this blush is just so much better than the site gives it credit for. Ok so I wasn't going to spend the cash, in fact I planned not to, but for any girl who has owned a NARS blush, I'm sure they would agree that once you get one (blush), YOU WANT THEM ALL!

Now this color is definitely reminiscent of my other bronzers that I talked about last week, but it is however slightly sheer in comparison, and so so lovely on the cheeks. It is a light blush that reminds me of a peach based color, and not really gold but it does have a bit of shimmer. All I can advise is anyone looking for a neutral blush.
Ok so I kind of feel guilty for splurging, when hoping to save, but when I actually got home and put a bit of Madly on my cheeks I couldn't help but love it. The product goes on extremely pigmented, even for how light this shade is, but it is definitely buildable. I like to pack on cheek color so that is one major plus for any NARS blush, as you only need one swipe of the brush to get amazing color payoff. I've pretty much reiterated everything that sephorajunkie, loudlud81, and others have already said about NARS, but common people I had to share my excitement with somebody!

Bronzers

Summer is officially gone, yes even in good ol' Cali. And even though winter is fast approaching, I am still obsessed with having a golden glow, not a surprise huh? But throughout the summer I learned alot about bronzer and self tanners, and so here I will be going over my two must have bronzers. First, my all time favourite bronzer is Sugar Cosmetics Tropic Tan(sunkissed bronze as described on Sephora.com, this is the best product I've come across for the size and the price, 12.50 at sephora). This bronzer makes my skin look so fresh and sunkissed, its RIDICULOUS! But seriously if your on a budget, or heck even if you got loads of cash, this product is a must-have for your makeup collection.

And yep you guessed it, I am a NARS fanatic!! So what else would make sense, other owning one of the most famous bronzers around, by NARS itself. Now there are two shades of bronzer from NARS, Laguna (brown with golden shimmer, I use this color, works well on my fair skin), and Casino(dark brown with golden shimmer, great for darker skin). This product is simply beautiful, with a light hand and a bronzer brush (I just have the sephora brand bronzer brush #44, 25 dollars), any girl can look 'fresh off the beach' anytime of the year. So there you have it, my favourite bronzers and something every girl should have in their collection.

P.S.The laguna/orgasm duo that I have here is a great way to try both products, and I was sold because I knew I was going to get orgasm anyways.

Who can resist...

Fredflare.com

Okay, so i must start by saying that I am absolutely obsessive about accessories and fashion paraphernalia, and especially anything having to do with Breakfast at Tiffany's. So lucky me, I was flipping through the November issue of Elle Magazine, when my heart just about skipped a beat! There was an entire page (220) dedicated to replicas of B.T. relics. Now I wasn't about to just skip this moment by merely forgeting this opportunity I was handed, so I decided to check out Fredflare.com. Now this site is a collector's dream , not only because of its wide variety of movie paraphernalia, but the prices are affordable. (the Holly Golightly Sleeping mask is only 14 U.S. dollars!)

Fredflare.com

Along with the movie relics this site has a great assortment of accessories including purses, hats, rings, sunglasses, and well you get the picture, just about anything and everything you can think of. Not just that but this site also has a blog as well (very fun and informational for an avid accessory shopper), so altogether I would give this site two thumbs up; Fredflare.com you've made a loyal customer out of me!

And 'til next time, ladies and gentlemen...stay fabulous!
