Hellooo All!

Long absences seem to be a re occurring pattern with me, so I just wanted to drop in and make a quick post about my favorites at the moment. I have some long time favorites and some new ones.

Some of my long time favorites:

1. Essie Nail Polish in Fiji (best pastel pink ever!! Plus it makes me look tan-> not easy btw)

2. Mac Mineralized Skin finish Natural (to set my makeup)

3. Revlon Colorstay Foundation(Combination/Oily Skin) in 240 Medium Beige

4. Mac Pencil Eyeliners (Ebony Eye Pencil, Engraved Powerpoint Eye Pencil)

My new Favorites:

1. Any Essie Nail Polish- mostly pastel colors (newest colors are Van D' Go, Marabou, Pink Lemonade, Pink Diamond)

2. Mac Lusterglass in Pinkarat (and I still want to try Lipglass in Pink Lemonade)

3. Origins VitaZing(its a tinted moisturizer)- Such an amazing product, I have been sworn to liquid foundation for years and now I believe I have made the brave switch, and it is amazing, I have a glow with this product unlike other foundations; have been using this in the place of a full face of foundation(been using Colorstay only on problem areas like my nose)

4. Seche Vite and getting Gel on my nails- I always said no to trying gel when getting my nails done, and my nails aren't long at all, in fact you wouldn't know I had gel on them if I didn't tell you. But the polish doesn't chip for days and days, especially with Essie colors, and a top coat of Seche Vite!

5. Juicy Couture- I know this isn't makeup related at all but who doesn't love a little fashion gossip? So I have turned to the dark side recently and bought the black daydreamer by Juicy, with the rhinestones all over it...and its just so adorable, I always feel cute wearing it(though a little younger at the same time)

Winter Makeup Changes

What is "winter makeup" to you? Does it mean pulling out the dark hair dye, vampy lips and dark nails? That is what I myself have been contemplating recently... which direction to take my look for the winter season.

Over the summer I had pale pink nails and tan. And it worked, I loved it. But now that the sun is gone and so is my tan, I am really starting to feel the dark nails. Took a break from them but here I am once again. (current color of choice is OPI's We'll Always Have Paris")

As for me I am keeping my hair dark for now, a natural fit for winter, but no changes there.

And instead of deep red/burgundy lips Im opting for a much less dramatic effect, though still colorful (as we all need a little boost of color in the gloomy days of winter) lipgloss. Now I am a new convert to lipgloss(as i had always been a lipstick feene), and Im almost embarrassed that dazzleglasses are often my product of choice. It must be something about the dimensional look when you have sparkly lips. I love how they look in the tubes (disclaimer:I am duped by packaging/overall outward appearance of products all too often).

Speaking of Packaging, has anyone checked out A Tartan Tale at MAC? Well I did and I was totally sold on the face palette Hark the Heraldry(a pink blush trio). I love that its so different for me, so instead of using strictly bronzer I have begun to branch out into a pink blush phase...i really like it with my dark hair.

To switch gears..

My new wardrobe choices consist of scarves, pea coats, skinny jeans from F21(in black), and possibly a beanie as the cold begins to really set in.

On a cheerie note I have something that is extremely exciting for me, actually make that two things.

1. I finally got the product I made my very first blog about(2 years ago), and I never justified buying until now: The Sleeping Mask from Breakfast at Tiffany's: Holly GoNightly on Fred Flare.com. I always wanted it and now I have it!!!!

And there it hangs on my wall :

2. I got this amazing DKNY watch today and its PERFECT!! Since one of my latest obsessions has been watches I thought I wanted to get an all gold watch, but I gave myself some time, slept on it, and wahhlaaaaa heres my newest, silver, addition to the family:

And the last thought of the night has to do with the new Dior nail varnishes: Timeless Gold ...what do you all think? Worth the $$...?

New Year, New Me

Dear readers,

As I look back on the two years I have been blogging, I am disappointed in myself. I look at the number of posts and the large gaps of time in between and think to myself what a shame. I want to blog because some of the so called "revelations" I have, are also interesting to you as readers (or at least I hope so). I also very much enjoy blogging. Its such a great experience that I have often not put enough time into. So I am making a new effort, and my best foot forward as the 2011 approaches (a girl can get a head start, right?), and begin a new blogging routine. My hope is to bring some life back into this blog and get you all involved with it at the same time.

What I would like to ask from you is to help me with ideas. If you have ideas of something that would interest you leave a comment on this post, and I'll try to accommodate everyone(but please try to keep it relevant to makeup and or fashion/accessories).

I will add an update later this week about what I have been up to, and a haul to get things going again!!

The "aha" moment

Hi All!

You know when the lightbulb goes off, and it all makes sense...well how about with makeup? This is pretty much how I have realized what suits me best, so here are the things I am OBSESSED with, and the products that I chose not to live without. I am mostly going to talk about makeup but a few non-makeup items as well.

When it comes to my summer style I have never really changed my look, but this year I had to wear the pastel pink nails. Not just pastel pink nails, but acrylic nails. I love it!!!! It feels so fresh and beautiful (and its such a contrast since I wore the short dark nails for a long time). In addition to nail color I also changed my hair color, though it may sound a bit backwards, I had dyed blonde hair, and for the summer I went back to my natural hair color which is a dark chocolate brown. And let me tell you I am loving being a brunette so much more.

Next, on a different note, I just started going to spinning classes at my gym, and it is SOOOOO much fun! Lots of work but so worth it. And in general I have been keeping active, from tennis to hiking I am loving working out.

One thing that I was absolutely obsessed with, and just got, is the Michael Kors White Ceramic watch with gold glitz, its GORGEOUS!!!! I saw it walking through Nordies everyday on my way to get coffee, and I finally caved and bought the thing, no regrets there.

As for my makeup MUSTS, I will list them, and keep in mind i am attached at the hip with these products:

1. Dior Airflash Foundation- love love love!!!

2. Dior Crayon Eyeliner in Black

3. NARS Laguna Bronzer

4. Dior Blackout on top of Iconic Mascara

5. Extra Amps Dazzleglass

6. And lipliner!!

And thats pretty much everything that has been on mind recently, besides my school work (only one year left!!!), and my last obsessions are watching the Real Housewives of OC & NJ, oversized sunglasses, and platform sandals... but not overcast summer days :(

Making it Happen

These last two weeks have been just about the most eventful two weeks I have had in a while..or at least in a positive way. First off I just turned 21 two weeks ago!!! And let me tell you I now know why people love happy hour so much. But that is besides the point, the real point I am shooting at is that I have spent wads and wads of cash on many things, and while my wallet lays empty in my purse, I am surprisingly at ease, and more importantly I am absolutely STOKED!!

Now I can't delay the biggest news any longer, so here it is, I just purchased and received my very first makeup artist brush belt!!!! I was browsing the Sephora site just for kicks(because of the friends and family sale of course), and somehow it went from "I'm defintely not buying anything", to "hey lets see how much the belt would cost with the discount", to "oh my gosh I must have this, and now!" Well this turnaround took all of a days time, but I had my justifications you know, in fact I am counting the days til I am going to a makeup artist in a runway show in just a few weeks.

So just a brief low down on the loot, I received 15 sephora professional brand brushes in this belt, and the belt can be worn over the shoulder or around the waist.


Ok so I was absolutely stoked when I had placed the order, I tracked it on UPS everyday, and you would think that would be enough to keep me satisfied for at least a little while. Now don't get me wrong, I WAS, AM, and will continue to be STOKED about the brush belt. But somehow on my trip to visit my boyfriend's family in LA I found myself perusing the Sephora website yet again(and this was literally like 2-3 days later, tops!) But anywhoo I randomly came across the Sephora Monopoly(which this is the very first I had heard of it). Long story made short, I bought one because if I REALLY LOVE makeup the way I claim to, then why wouldn't I buy it? Oddly enough it seems like this never took off as much as I would have imagined; I believe it came out in 2003 or 2004...and those are really rough guesses. It is currently scheduled to arrive on the 3rd of November, so I am getting very excited.

In other news I have made a little bit of a career plan for myself, and I thought it would be fitting to share it with all of you, because while I do plan to graduate from college with a B.A. in the next 1 1/2 years, I feel that with my everlasting obsession with hair and nails and makeup I NEED to give Cosmetology school a try. Not marinellos or some fancy private college, but I know of a community college by my family's house that has a really great program. I plan to become a hair stylist and hopefully branch out meanwhile into makeup artistry, so here's to dreaming!!

And I can't seem to get the pics up at this time, so I am going to work on that, I am so not good at computer stuff.

Things I am Loving

So I have switched up my makeup routine, as usually, and I have been in a none stop frenzy to perfect my look. Let me share the deets of my lastest a greatest makeup addictions...

Here is a numbered list, to keep things more orderly
1. Dark Room Nail Polish (Sephora by OPI)- loves loves loves it; touch up every 2 days to keep its amazing color vibrant(thats just a personal preference, not neccessary by any means)

2. Aquolina Pink Sugar Perfume- Heaven in a bottle; can't leave home without it on

3. My shorter hair, it keeps creeping up shorter and shorter; and my stylist is absolutely the BEST; she gave me a blunt cut on the ends(so chic, so fresh)

4. I wear light pastel pink lipstick everyday now, and my current favorite(though still debating Snob and St. Germain) is Babydoll by LORAC. It is absolutely stunning and creamy on the application, well worth every dollar I paid for it(though please do send your suggestions for other colors; its quite an obsession at the moment)

5. MAC Fibre Rich Mascara, nice change from the drugstore brands, not sticky and clumpy like some mascaras

At Long Last

Life as a student is a little different for me these days, as I am fresh off a nine month working(waiting tables)spree, and no school. And now as I am officially starting to call my university "home", it only makes sense to share all the exciting news with my fellow makeup junkies and fashionistas.

First off let me share you the not so amazing news; for one I have class, monday through friday, at 9AM! What sort of self-hating person does this; fyi, I am useless without coffee, and barely alive before 11am. Ok so enough of my rant. On to the good stuff.

As for school, I just attended my first Fashion Club meeting, and it was instant heaven for me, first order of business, talk of a runway show. We are going to be planning, promoting, and running a fashion show, and guess who's shooting for makeup artist of the models, none other than yours truly.

No guarrantee on whether or not this will work out for me, but I can dream. And onto the next order..

I am in utter bliss dreaming about changing my major to Fashion Merchandising...its in the planning stages, but cross your fingers for me, this might be the one...finally.

At long last I have settled into a routine that is suitable to a practically "empty-pocketed" student, and things are changing. To be specific it has more to do with my Starbucks habit than makeup, but I am just too proud of myself to hold it in. First off you must know my backround/love-affair with Starbucks 'Venti-3pump-Vanilla-Iced-Coffee'. I started drinking this about 2 years ago now; it began when I had this horridly boring sociology class, for 2hrs two days a week, and the chairs had really low backrests(as to prevent sleeping I'm sure). So undoubtedly this led to coffee on campus, then coffee off campus, then from there its all a blur. I have spent alot of money my iced coffees over these past two years, and seeing as I am officially out of the house(parent's house), my situation called for a change.

Anywhoo thats the spiel and here is my solution, I just purchased my very first coffee maker, a bag of ground coffee beans, a novelty Starbucks Venti Iced Coffee Cup(reusable, and limited edition), a pitcher to chill the coffee in(in the fridge), and my very own Starbucks Vanilla syrup. So I made my very first Iced Coffee last night and traipsed off to class this morning with homemade starbucks iced coffee...well I was proud at least.


Please please please let me know if you have any success stories about making your very own "homemade Starbucks Coffee", and feel free to share your own struggles, I would love to hear how you deal with the addiction...

Wish List

MAC's new collection is officially available online, and since little ol' me broke open the piggy bank for my big move to the city, I decided to make a list of products I would have gotten(and will "shoot" for buying).

My Makeup Wish List-
1.Fuchsia Glitter- I saw it on DRBrooklyn and it looks amazing
2.Notoriety Quad- I love the neutrality of this quad; something that is wearable day and night, yet still sexy and noticeable.(would work great for a neutral smokey eye)

Now that being said, I have some eyeshadows that are not from any collection-
3.Club- GAWRGEOUS DARLING...so sexy, perfect shadow for a night out
4.Plumage- sooooo perfect, this matte shadow with club, yum!
5.Contrast/hepcat/beauty marked/trax-any and all of these would be next in line

As for the products i will spend the cash on, not sure just yet; I need to give the poor wallet a rest...

Studio Fix Fluid

Of coarse this may come as long overdue, and no suprise at all, but Studio Fix Fluid is now my favorite foundation, given that things go the way they have been. For reference here is the list of all the foundations I have tried:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
MUFE HD Foundation
Bare Essentials Mineral Foundation

I bought SFF over a week ago now, and have been using it each day since. And my thoughts, it goes on easy, gives great coverage(while easily spreads out; buildable), and personally speaking, makes my skin look amazing. I still use my B.E. mineral foundation over, a tiny bit just to set my foundation and keep off the shine; this makes it last all day.

Why else do I absolutely love this foundation? Answer- I have gotten in the habit of reapplying/touching up my foundation multiple times everyday, but now that I am using SFF and B.E. mineral foundation I can go all day without touching up my skin. In fact I can even work(I wait tables and generally get a shiny face in the t-zone) and at the end of my shift my skin still looks flawless!

All in all I am sold on this product, Have you tried SFF?

I'm impressed

So if you followed my last post, you will understand how excited I am right now, because I used my new B.E. Eye glimmers, and I was totally satitisfied. First off I must praise 'grace' glimmer for it's versatility and I loved it as an addition to my evening look. Used 'grace' in the inner third as I had originally planned, and then as an experiment I took it down to my cheek bones, right above my blush, and behold my new favorite combination: 'well-dressed' with B.E. 'grace' glimmer above. This took my look from day to night.

As for my eyeshadow combnation I desparately tried to refrain from using my any MAC, but I couldn't help myself. So in the end I used 'twig' on my 'outer v', Grace on the inner 1/3 of my lid with (and I hate to admit this) 'print' & 'folie' matte shadows by MAC. I know this was ultimately breaking the rules of my self-induced 'pain', but I couldn't resist, and boy am I glad I broke the rules. The outcome was a super se y/sultry look that lasted from day, and with a little extra shadow in the 'outer v' & crease; all the way into the evening.

I will be further experimenting with these shades, and my next shade will be firefly. I am once again day dreaming of which colors to best commpliment this gorgeous coppery shadow; will report the results soon with further reviews.

Bare Essentials Eyes

Hey ladies, today is all about the brand that I first loved, and no it wasn't MAC. Today is the begining of a little experiment between my MAC products(starting with eye shadows), and Bare Essentials. Bare Essentials is known as a healthier alternative to many of the brands we all know and love(MAC in particular). For a while now I have been completely devoted to MAC products and quickly got accustomed to the quality of their lipsticks, eyeshadows, and blushes. But...of coarse I am shifting back and forth between B.E. and MAC because they both have alot to offer, as well as offering a little variety. So it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that I was back in B.E. today, scouting out my next eyeshadows. The three shadows I snatched up are grace, twig, and firefly. All of these are bordering the neutral and brown color categories, but I am uber excited to give these all a chance. My first challenge, a smokey eye fit for daytime, but a look that easily transfers to a sultry night look. I am headed to use these all for my date tommorrow night, and I fully intend on sharing all the deets with you(only about the colors and how my smokey eye looked of coarse!).

So I did attempt a swatch for you all, but after I saw how horribly my hands photographed, I decided to stick with the pics while the product remains INSIDE the packaging. So heres a peek of the loot:



The shadow on the very top, twig, is a brown/mauve/plum, which in turn looks like a rich brown from a distance. I plan to use this on my outer 2/3 of my lid. I have not decided yet whether or not to accompany 'firefly' in the 'outer v', or use a matte black or brown(my bets on the matte shadow).

As for the inner 1/3 of my lid grace is so far looking like a sure bet, and I actually want to take this color beyond just my lids. Because this color resembles Vanilla pigment(MAC), I am going to attempt a little highlighting action; which is why I was so enthusiastic about this one. In fact it was amusing that I kept picking this one while perusing all the eye glimmers at B.E.(which in my world meant it was truly fate for me to get 'grace'.

Feeling Festive

Getting all ready for the holidays? well hopefully that was a yes, because I have a little treat here for anyone that enjoys baking during the holidays.

I am not an expert, and in fact I am going by a recipe I found online, but I still have no idea as to whether or not this is going to work, but here is goes...I making Peppermint Bark!

I did attempt making peppermint bark last year, but I forgot to use dark chocolate on the bottom, oops :).

This is the melted chocolate chips on a paper plate- probably a bad move- I needed non-stick paper. After putting the chocolate on a plate, and smoothing it out, I put it in the fridge for 15 mins so it could cool and harden.

Then I melted the white chocolate chips in the microwave. For both of these I put them for about 2-3 mins, but I kept a close watch on them, and stired often. Before the chocolate hardened I sprinkle broken candy cane all over it.



I put like 5 candy canes in a ziploc baggy and took a hammer to it...but don't go all out or you'll be left with candy cane dust!


Anyways I wanted to share this fun and easy way to make your own peppermint bark, and its really tasty too! Enjoy Gals

Is It just me or....

So I have now used Mufe HD foundation about a day and a half, and guess what...I'm extremely worried right now. I thought it was so perfect and thus I dismissed the "what should have been" the blatently obvious signs at the end of last night. ` Sad to say this, but I noticed every flaw by the end of the night, it was like the foundation magnified lines, blemishes because it really dried out my skin.

I'm pretty bummed right now, and I need some advice from Mufe HD users, please tell me what I'm doing wrong. If not I think I'll be returning this foundation.

First off I'll admit that I have not been using a primer, well my HD sample primers are just about out- so I pretty don't get much out of the bottle. I was hoping that this is the problem, also I realize I need to drink more water, but with the Satinfinish Foundation I never noticed anything like this.

I am ready to try any skin care regimine that caters to dull skin with acne tendencies, I am seriously not happy with the performance of this foundation at this point.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

A Mini Haul

Along with Mufe HD I also picked up some other stuff, and it was kinda unplanned, one of those walking-to-the-register, impulse buys. I wanted to find a nude lip liner, and not wanting to break the bank...completely, I kept with the Sephora Brand, and 114 and 135 are the colors I picked. So here's the swatches of the liners, on top it is 114, and on the bottom 135.



I am happy with the lip liners, for how much I paid. No they are not the best, but they were only five dollars. I like the 114 color and the 135 seems to look best with Creme d' Nude out of all my lipsticks, so I like that.

The other thing is Smith's Rosebud Salve, I already had Smith's Minty Rose Lips, and this was right before the register, and since I was still in that Mufe HD haze, and such an easy sell, the products in the line got me..and I was just about up to the register too! Well either way it is a nice lip balm, but I admit I have yet to wear that solo when I go out, but it is definitely apart of the nighttime routine.

Also I picked up Cover Girl Lash Blast at Longs the other day, and I am pretty happy with it. In fact I am regretting my high-end waste of money when I purchased Dior Iconic. Though Iconic is a nice formula (but difficult to get off unless you have a good makeup remover), and the wand is really cool (in my opinion), it actually is very similar to the Lash Blast wand...so now I'm feeling pretty dumb. Oh well I have to say that the Iconic mascara definitely feels high-end, the package at least. And it was nice for a change ( I have always used Loreal and Maybelline mascaras til now).

I was super tempted to let my inhibitions go and scoop up a couple Revlon Colorstay foundations, but I didn't!! Well the reasons I was so tempted is because I have read about these from Lollipop26, and seeing that she compared Mufe HD to these, and I just bought HD, I was very intrigued..

Now the other reason that I was soooo tempted to throw caution to the wind and use the last coins in the piggy bank (so to speak), is because it was on sale...buy one get one free...Now I know I may sound crazy, cause If I'm trying to save so much money, why wouldn't I just pour out the dough for one, and then have a supply of foundation that would possibly last me an entire year!?

Well I decided I know how easily I get bored, and guaranteed at least one of those foundations would have gone to waste, and I hate buying things I know I'm not going to use.

So that is that, and Yay For me, I said NO! No I am not giving the cosmetic industry ALL my mooonay!! LOL I'll just be giving it to MAC instead of Revlon I suppose... I know I'm just a crazy girl.

HD- Your so not even Surprised...

Okay I finally did it, I got Mufe HD. I was set on getting this foundation since about August, but it has just now hit the top of my priorities list, of coarse only once I got some important things worked out. So anyways I just used it today, and my first impression was, of coarse, "DAMN...this is GOOD". Yes, yes I know your all tired of hearing about Mufe HD foundation, but I just thought I would add to the other reviews in expressing appreciation for this product.

This foundation is the second liquid foundation that I have ever owned thus far, so yes, I am far from an expert on the subject. My first foundation was MAC's Satinfinish Foundation, which has worked well for me, and served to be exactly what I needed to get accustomed to using a liquid foundation. Satinfinish was not for Matte skin, but more of a dewy look (which I do like). Mufe HD is good for a matte look, which is the first reason I was set on trying it.

Also I knew that this foundation has been said to have great coverage while using little product. I used two small pumps to do my entire face, which would normally take 2-3 large pumps of Satinfinish, while at the same time leaving blemishes exposed.

This is not the case with Mufe HD. HD covered most of my blemishes and scars, and though I still reached for my studio fix concealer, I didn't need a whole lot of it.

Any how I was thinking as to why I am so enthused with this product, while other women are not. And it's really quite simple, this is best quality foundation I have tried thus far, and therefore I am totally in love with it.

All in all I am really happy with this product, so much that as of yet, I "plan" to continue using this foundation, unless of coarse there is another fad-foundation:). I would recommend this foundation for any one that has never tried a higher-end foundation, and is somehow unhappy with their current product. And especially for any one that has alot of blemishes or scars, we need the best formulas we can get.

This is the box- I picked shade 118, and I'm still debating as to whether or not this is my perfect tone...but so far so good.


So I am really happy, personally, to have picked up this foundation, as it may just be the answer my poor face needed all along(well that and some freaking acne products!!!)

Also, if you hadn't figured it out, I am currently (crossing my fingers) ending a breakout of acne, all around my cheeks. I am still on the hunt for a life-saver type of acne system or product that could be the answer to all this madness. So share any thoughts or testimonies if you have experienced acne, as I always love to hear from you.

Girls Meets Myth...

Ladies and Gents, it is my pleasure to introduce a very near and dear, new friend of mine, Myth. It is this girl's best friend, and I've got a couple reasons why you should think so too.

Ok so maybe the intro was a bit over done, but if this lipstick is a stranger to your makeup collection, then I would suggest you get to a MAC counter and get it, now!

Yes girls it really is my best companion in my collection at the moment.
So you ask, what is so great about Myth..? Well here are a few reasons to love it-

1. Yes it is a thicker and more drying texture(when compared to Creme d' Nude), but this is actually nice for a change. I feel like my lips look much more natural, like the added gloss in "d'nude", and its pinky-ish undertones make my lips look rather made up.

2. Also I loved how little product is needed in order to get desired look, full and natural coverage. Yes I would imagine if you were to lather this on, well you might have concealer lips, but really all it takes is one swipe, then smack them lips together and you got a sexy, "I didn't put on makeup"-look.

3. Lastly I found that "d'nude" tends to slide off of my lips, and while it is moisturizing, it has a difficult time staying in place, therefore requiring often re-application(well that may be my OCD).

This is Myth against my hand...eerily similar in color don't ya think?


None the less I am fully in love with this lipstick, and it cracks me up thinking that I was scared of concealer lips, because with moderation Myth can be absolutely beautiful.
And I felt that it was time for you all to see my face, in more than just the profile pic, and sorry for the lame-esque feel of it, shall we say...cam whore time?


You might not be able to see but I am sporting my new beanie, and of coarse I needed to listen to my Ipod; it was the inspiration behind the smile :)

And I would proudly like to reveal that I have stopped my self tanning routine, it has been a whole week now...and I am actually quite satisfied, though I refuse to give up my bronzer!

I would love to hear what anyone thinks of Myth, and what Lipglasses would pair well with it...'til next time stay fab!

Nude lip Combo

I may have found some good bright lip combinations, but I never fail to fall back on my nude lips routine. And the best combo I have found yet has to be Creme d' Nude(MAC) and Shy(Very Sexy, Victoria's Secret). A bit of concealer first to lighten my lips, then Shy, and top it off with Creme d' Nude, makes me a very happy girl.

NYX Round Lippies Arrived!!

Sorry for the break, but I have a NYX round lipstick haul for ya'll! So unfortunately I was pretty disappointed when I saw that some of the colors I ordered were not very neutral, as I had expected them to be. So here they are from left to right:


Rea, Baby Pink, Aphrodite, B52, Femme, Rose, Chloe, Peach


So I was played, oh how was I fooled into getting these colors. The ones towards the left, which are more neutral, are alot brighter than they looked on the website, unfortunately I assumed that the website swatches were accurate. Well they aren't. So I figure that this was a great chance to try out colors that I would not spend the money on otherwise(like at MAC), but thankfully these were only 2 dollars each.

My new favorite colors are actually quite surprising though, Femme and Rose, which are extremely close in color, so much that it is hard to see any difference at all.

The difference though is that Femme has a more orange base color, while Rose is more bright pink. When I wear these together I get a very bright and fun look, I'm so loving it at the moment. And as a close second, I like Baby Pink(light lavender) and Aphrodite(deep berry) just because I would have never bought these colors, and I most definitely do not have any dupes for these in my collection.

The color that I will probably never use has to be Rea. This is the very first color on the left, and it is a very chalky taupe color. When I put this on my lips it was awful, not a good match for my skin, and for a nude color, I have to say I'm not impressed.

I'm still deciding what I think of Chloe(bright fuchsia), but I respect this color as something i could use for only specific occasions, like a party or anything that calls for some craziness!

And as for peach, well that color is kind of useless to me, it's a bit too mundane while brighter than what I would use everyday. So while I like it in the tube, I don't see myself putting this one on anytime soon.

Now since this was the second time I ventured outside MAC for lipsticks, I have to say, MAC is always the better choice when it comes to quality. No duh..huh? I understood that the quality would be cheaper, so I'm completely fine, in fact I like having cheaper lipsticks to mess around with, but when it comes to application, formula, color and stay-ability(sorry for lack of other words), MAC is still my number one.

As for the haul, I enjoyed this because it was like Christmas, I had no idea what I was gonna get, and indeed I was surprised. If your interested in trying NYX I would suggest you look at Lollipop26's blog for a better and more wearable selection of round lipsticks.
